Term 1

Our first term in Ducklings Class,

What a wonderful first term we have had in Ducklings Class. We have explored Owl Babies and The Little Red Hen in our Talk for Writing sessions which has included investigating the Forest School Area and baking bread. The children have been brilliant, and we are so proud of them. Here are a few pictures of us enjoying our classroom.

The Little Red Hen

Our Talk for Writing story is The Little Red so today Duckings Class all had a go at being the Little Red Hen and made bread. We added the ingredients, kneaded the dough, watched it rise and then baked it in the oven. It smelt delicious when it came out of the oven. We thought it looked soft and fluffy. We all tasted some bread and it was yummy. The children were very happy that their bread tasted like 'real bread'.

Talk for Writing

In our Talk for Writing sessions, we have been telling the story Owl Babies. This week we had a go at innovating the story. We innovated some parts of the story and made 'Reindeer Babies'. We had fun making up new actions and new descriptive words. We then performed to Mrs Peach.
